"I am always ready to explore suggestions from members and welcome new ideas."

"I am looking forward to the positive and exciting changes that are planned for the Foundation's future"

"I am pleased to have started with the NTF at a time when it is undergoing such a transformation and feel that it is a very positive and productive time for our members."

I joined the Foundation in 2004 after a long career as Development Director in a leading financial services company and I am accustomed to finding money from many areas. The NTF manages an ongoing programme to raise funds to help the development of support groups throughout the country and to provide finance for research programmes.

Regular applications are made to Trust Funds, statutory sources and commercial companies for assistance.

The internet is a growing source of revenue area to explore and www.buy.at/tremor.org.uk has already produced results. Further plans are in place to expand this avenue that will provide both benefits to members and income for the NTF. I am always ready to explore suggestions from members and welcome new ideas.

Tonia

I joined the NTF in a voluntary capacity in 2000 to help with the growing number of enquiries. Having tremor myself I am very aware of the problems associated with this condition.

In 2004 with funding from Medtronic UK, I was employed on a part- time basis as an administrator for the NTF. In my role I deal with telephone enquiries and provide support with the day to day running of the office. I also assist with the development of support groups throughout the country and frequently attend neurological meetings to promote the awareness of the NTF.

I am looking forward to the positive and exciting changes that are planned for the Foundations future.

Janice

I have been now been working with the National Tremor Foundation since 2008 and during that time I have already seen many positive changes suggested and implemented. I am pleased to have started with the NTF at a time when it is undergoing such a transformation and feel that it is a very positive and productive time for our members.

Prior to working for the NTF I spent approximately two and a half years working with the Parkinson’s Specialist nurse and developed a keen interest in neurological conditions. I am gradually learning about all forms of tremor and the reality of living with such a condition.

I enjoy my job immensely and Tonia, Geoff and I (the T-Team!) work very well together, sharing our skills and pooling our ideas. I look forward to offering support to our members and meeting some more members at the Annual Conference.

It is wonderful to see this site up and running and it is clear and easy to use. I must also congratulate everyone on the new format of the newsletter. It is now a most professional publication and I'm sure will go from strength to strength. Let us all look forward to more publicity in 2010.
All good wishes

Have just logged on for the first time. Like the new website nice and bright and clear and welcoming and helpful for newly diagnosed people, so useful to recommend to people who phone me seeking information and help.

Best wishes to all in the T Team
